Any chance you could turn one, or know someone who could? I don't really want to cut my hood but maybe for my carb. This hits before my carb hits, so it needs to be flush mounted (gains like a half inch or so). What would it set me back if I found 4 or 5 other guys that could use it?

Because of the way the threads are on the caps, I don't think it is something I can really cut on my lathe. They are very deep, and very far apart.

I could modify an existing cap though. Or, you could move the oil cap back towards the firewall on the valve cover itself. Or I have access to some custom billet caps that come with a weld in bung in aluminum, that the stock unit could be cut out and replaced with. They would only be about an inch above the valve cover overall. And you would get back a freshly blasted valve cover to boot.

The best way would be to remove the stock oil cap all together, and weld a custom bung in the same location. You could even use a pop up gas cap.
